Kip's Early Adulthood
  • Kip completed both his Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Summa Cum Laude) and his Master’s Degree in Educational Supervision and Administration at The Ohio State University; and completed his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Leadership Studies at Bowling Green State University.
  • Kip has previously taught Sunday School, Bible School, was Co-advisor of Church Youth Group with wife Becky, Usher Captain, Drafting and Math Teacher, VICA Chapter / School Advisor, Regional & State VICA Advisor, Youth and Varsity HS Coach – multiple sports, Principal / Director, and Presenter / Speaker for conferences, college classes, school in-services and events, and for many community organizations.

  • Kip’s Awards and Recognitions

    • He has received the: 2019 Ohio Administrator of the Year, Distinguished Service, Pacesetter, and Trendsetter Awards for School Administrators from Ohio ACTE.  He is the Ohio Representative to the ACTE Region I (represents 16 states in the Midwest and Northeast) Policy Council.
    • Kip has received the 2017 Superintendent of the Year Award from the NE Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) and is on the Buckeye Association of School Administrators (BASA) Ohio School Report Card Committee and Ohio CTE Advisory Committee.  He has served as Chair of the Council of Presidents Advisory Committee for the Ohio Department of Education.
    • Kip has served as president of the Ohio Association of Career and Technical Superintendents (OACTS), Ohio Career and Technical Administrators (OCTA), Ohio Trade and Industry Supervisors Association, and the Administration Division of the Ohio Association of Career and Technical Education (Ohio ACTE).
    • Kip has served on the United Way Vision Council and chaired the United Way campaign, Success by Six Committee, is a Leadership Wooster Graduate, a member of the Wooster Chamber of Commerce, Wooster Tax Abatement Committee, and is on the Goodwill Industries Board of Trustees, and is Chair of the Goodwill Industries Workforce Development Committee.

  • Started and Kiwanis Advisor for WCSCC Key Club (44 members currently)
  • Started and Counselor for Wooster Satellite Club (36 members currently)
  • Started over 100 new Kiwanis members to member clubs
